Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to serve as witnesses in court. Prof. Goodman has published extensively, received many grants and has been awarded several international and national awards. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the globe on policy and research concerning children as victims within the legal system. She currently serves as advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of several professional associations including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She served as president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
